New camera :)

Last friday I bought a new camera the canon 1D mark III. I got it yesterday with a new lens the canon 24-70 man when I unpacked the box I could not believe how big it was. This baby is half a mercedes. I tried it out today, wow a lot of learning to do it has more buttons then my stereo :). Love love this camera. Yes it is heavy but oh well. I just want to get more into photography. In the slide show to the right the baby photo's are made with the new camera. have a great day.

I love the way you can scrap on your computer without all the mess of paint, paper frills and all other stuff laying around with paper scrapping. My biggest passion is paper but I just don't have enough hours in a day. these two I made last night.

Macro lens

I always loved Macro photography, so last week I bought this lens it came in yesterday. Well I noticed it needs a lot of practice to make some good shots. I walked around for an hour yesterday to find some bugs but none. It is still too cold I guess. Well today I spotted this fly outside and after 50 pics I had one okay one. I made these with the lens.

I do so many different things that it is sometimes hard to get my paperscrapping done. Last night I made 4 new lay-outs. I love to work with paper, all the different dessigns, textures and looks soooo pretty. It makes me feel at ease and relax when I scrap. These are the ones I made last night.

I did some digital scrapping over the past few days, All elements are made bij myself and the paper also. This week I got to do a photoshoot with our new neighbor baby giovanna, she is soooo cute, only 2 weeks old, she was born on valentines day.

Went and visited a local scrapbook store yesterday and bought these magic shapes, they are square plastic pieces you can stamp on them, heath them with the heathtool and bend them into shape, punch holes in them, soooo cool to work with. I made these things with them last night.

I am way behind posting photo's. my little boy has been sick of and on. One day sick the next day back to school and the day after sick again. he is doing better now thank god. I did some digital scrapping again tonight. The first three lay-outs are paper scraps I made this week. Went shopping for some scrapmaterial last weekend.

The last lay-out is our new baby. He is the sweetest when he sleeps but as soon as he opens his little button eyes he is a little devil. just love the little one so much.

I Did not post for quit a while. As life happens time flies by. Busy with our new puppy and him being sick, We are all fighting a flu here. But all better now. The weather has been gorgeous with snow last weeken and sunny weather today. The temperature will be around 12 degrees celcius if not warmer today. Spring can not come fast enpough for me. This afternoon we will take the kids into the forrest for a little picnic and walk. Tomorrow they will go back to scholl after their one week vacation. I am up to date with my picture a day project as of yesterday (see below). Wishing you all a wonderful sunday. :)

6 days untill we can pick up our new baby Cosmo. The owner let me know today. She was a bit sad he is going but he will do fine, they took great care of him, and I am so happy we can pick him up. I just wanted to post my january 21 photo of my little boy.

I did some editing to the picture, so cool what you can do with photoshop. :)

Hope you are all having a wonderful sunday. We got up at 10 this morning. This afternoon we went to visit my mums and stayed for dinner (moms food is the best) and I did not have to cook :). Then we visited our new baby for a little bit he is so CUTE. He has a little cold but he did not look or act sick. he played and i got many kisses. So it was a happy sunday. January 19, 2008. We put my toilet in a new jacket. It went from sunny yellow into ocean blue and white, it looks so pretty now.

January 18, 2008. one of my work photo's. i have another deadline by the end of the week and enough to do. But thank god I can do all my work from my home. I am so thankful for that. I am a stay at home mum and work fulltime from my home. Best job ever. :)

How can you not love this little pooch. I am totally in love. My january 15 th photo, my old doggy ruby with the stolen toys. :).

January 16 photo, our new little pooch Cosmo, another two weeks and he will move in with us. The little baby. love him already so much.

My project I made for our new baby. A bed that I can carry with a little sleeping blanket for him. I handmade the bed for him, not from a pattern but just out the top of my head.

I could not help myself today to buy new toys for Cosmo our new baby. He is not here yet but will come in a few weeks. I put the all in a crate and in no time ruby had then all out as they where his. This dog does not even know he is a dog. He is going to be 12 this year but he is the sweetest thing. He does not even look old. It was funny to see how he made all the new toys his. A new puppy

Yesterday we went to look at a Chihuahua puppy, and guess what... yes we fell in love right away. He is 6 weeks old now and still to young to leave his mama. We still have to wait a few weeks till he comes live with us. He is the cutest ever. And his name will be Cosmo. The pictures are not mine but made by the owner Toos. Very sweet and nice people who gave us the trust to give Cosmo a loving home.

Dentist

I hate going to the dentist. Today the kids had to go. My son's babyteeth have been realy bad since the beginning and now that his adult teeth are comming in it looks good. He had so much done on his teeth already, but the new one appear healthy (thank god). They only sealed one molar. My daughter needs 3 baby molars pulled, the are loose already so no big deal. The dentist wanted to pull these because her teeth are tight and she is afraid that little cavaties will come in between them and damage her adult teeth. Besides that we dont have the drama at home when she looses one of her baby teeth :). So that was our morning. This is my photo of today my little bookcase with some of my books.

it is already the 9th and I still doing the project "a photo a day" :) today it is my little old doggy Ruby, he is going to be 12 this year. I can't think of the day that he won't be with us anymore. I have had him since he was 9 weeks old. He is very quiet, playful and loving, always happy.

I love my little doggy. My daughter is already planning on a new dog a chihuahua, her grandma has a little one and she totaly adores him. But for now we still give our love to this little one.

Not feeling well

I can't loose my cold. It goes away and comes back every few weeks. It seems the stomach flu is going round here. A lot of people are sick. My son had it the other day in the middle of the night, why do these things happen in the middle of the night I wonder. I was up at 3 am and had a lot of cleaning to do. :). Felt so sorry for the little guy, but he is okay now and all better. Monday they are going back to school. Vacation is over for a few weeks. In February we are celebrating carnaval. Christmas is over

Christmas is over and I am working again. It was great just hanging out with family and friends and eating a bunch of good food. Next week another few days off and that was it. This week I made some lay-outs just for fun. I bought the grunge board from tim holtz and I fell in love I just love that stuff. I used it on the brother sister lay-out. Here are my lay-outs. I can't believe how fast this year went by, only a few weeks and the year is over. December 5th we celebrated our "sinterklaas" the kids got their presents and so did I :), I got this sweet 85MM lens for my canon 400D baby. The pics are too sweet and I totally love this lens, there are many more I want but well they are not the cheapest gifts hihi. Today we went to a christmas market, we had a nice afternoon, the weather was great the snow on the photo was foam, so not real snow (to bad). These pics where taken with my new lens. Will post more later these look a little small. have a good one.

Boy this is the hardest challenge, to meke 365 self portraits, it probably will take me 10 years or so :). It has been crazy with work here on the new magazine. The first magazine was received great in holland number 2 is out already. I did not have had any time to scrap for my own scrapbooks or do anything else. My dear friend from Los angeles sent me this in an email yesterday and everytime I read this it makes me laugh out loud, Just wanted to share. I admire people who can write stories like this, When I hear or read a story a little movie plays in my head. Well hope you all have a great day and I was not feeling well enough to take any selfportraits the last two days, or maybe I should have :). Have a happy wednesday. Dear Diary, For my sixtieth birthday this year, my daughter Rachel (the dear) purchased>a week of personal training at the local health club for me. Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try. I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Belinda, who identified herself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear. My daughter seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress. MONDAY :Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Belinda waiting for me. She is something of a Greek goddess - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!! Belinda gave me a tour and showed me the machines. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which she conducted her aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring! Belinda was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time she was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week-!! TUESDAY : I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Belinda>made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air - then she put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made>the>full mile. Belinda's rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT-!! It's a whole new life for me. WEDNESDAY :The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot. Belinda was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. Her voice is a little too perky for early in the morning; and when>she scolds, she gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying. My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Belinda put me on the stair 'monster'. Why the h*** would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered>obsolete by elevators? Belinda told me it would help me get in shape and>enjoy life. She said some other s*** too. THURSDAY : Belinda was waiting for me with her vampire-like teeth exposed as her thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late, it took me that long to tie my shoes. Belinda took me to work out with dumbbells. When she was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. She sent another skinny b**** to find me. Then, as punishment, she put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank. FRIDAY : I hate that b**** Belinda more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic, anorexic little cheerleader. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat her with it. Belinda wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the D*** barbells or>anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone>softer, like the drama coach or the choir director? SATURDAY :>Belinda left a message on my answering machine in her grating, shrilly>voice>wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing her made me want to>smash the machine with my planner. However, I lacked the strength to>even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the>Weather Channel.>> SUNDAY : I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my daughter Rachel (the little s***) will choose a gift for me that is fun -->like a root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had wanted me to bend over, he/she would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds!!!

Here is my number 2 piture, I took yesterday.(363 to go) I kind of dont even like to take pictures of myself and I dont know if I should today. Today is a bad day. I went out last night and painted the town. Maybe I had a little bit too much to drink. And yesterday I did not even think how I would feel today. Let me tell you I DONT FEEL WELL. haha. I promised the kids to go to the fair again today, and we will later today. I rarely drink and now I know why. :) I will never drink again. I think. :) Hope you are having a better day then I do, but the good thing is this feeling will be gone by tomorrow. Picture was taking yesterday mornin, just out of bed kind a look.

Last saturday I gave my last scrapbook workshop in Heesch for Creatief met foto's. I worked there for 5 years or so. I got to spent the whole day with Agitte Huberts, (author of the Artspecially for you books) these are absolutely amazing. Check her out. http://creagitje.blogspot.com/ She is taking over the scrapbook workshop from me. She is soooooo very talented. AND SO FUN TO HANG AROUND. She made me laugh many times. Thank you Agitte for a fun day. At the end we did a silly shoot. The pictures did not come out to well. But hey we had fun.

This week has been extremely busy, working ahead on my new project. October the 7th will be the launch at the pipoos beurs (holland) in den bosch.

This weekend we have a fair in town so there will be no working, just having fun I guess. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Today was the convention where they introduced my own scrapbook paper line. I took my camera with me to take pictures. And when I wanted to take some pics I found out I had left my memory card at home. I was so mad :). Thank god someone else took some pictures. Will be posted later. I had a great day. On monday September the 10th I will be at the "crea vak beurs" (beurs = convention) in Arnhem. together with Creamotion i will be promoting my new scrapbook paper line. i am sure I will have some pictures to share on tuesday. On Oktober 7 there will be the "pipoos beurs" in den Bosch, where we will be promoting another big project. Secret will be revealed then. This project is done with somebody else. I worked very hard on this project together with some other amazing people. We waited a long time to get the go-ahead. BUT WE GOT IT. Share soon. Have a great day.

Yep it is monday again. The weekend went by so fast. Just wanted to share a few pictures from our weekend. Yesterday we went to Venlo, the city where I lived for a long time. They celebrated the opening of the new cultural season. There where a lot of artist who showcased their art. There was dancin, singing and small theather shows on the streets and in a lot of buildings. The weather was great and we had a lot of fun walking through the city. I soooooooooooooo love this building in venlo. I love everything about it the colors, windows and ornaments. it is the most beautiful building there, in my oppinion.

Somebody had a baby. Congratulations to the people who live here. This stork through the window is so funny. When somebody had a baby most people decorate the front yard and door with all kinds of stuff and signs. But i think this is one of the funniest ones i have seen.

These ladies where amazing I have no clue how they can walk around like this, and they even did it so gracefully. Love the colors on their suits. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Most of the year I did not have too much work to stay occupied all the time. But as of last week my life changed. My new project got the green light and will be in the stores soon (the Netherlands only for as now) but that might change, you never know. I will share soon what this project will be. I am so very exited to be a big part of it. My new cardmaking templates are for sale in the stores in holland. 10 templates this line is called funky fashion. Yes I have 2 children. One who does not mind to be captured on camera, and the other one who wurms himself in all kind of positions to make sure that I will not get a good picture of him. What is up with that? Maybe I make too many pictures (but he is rarely on one) Maybe one day this will change and he lets me. :). These kids are growing up way too fast. The other night my son (7) came down crying. I asked him what was wrong. He said (with big tears running down his cheeck)"I miss being little". It made me laugh but I could not show him. I told him I missed that too but I was glad he was becoming a big boy. That made it all okay again, and he went back to bed. He is sooo funny and cracks me up a lot of times. Anyway just wanted to share this picture to proove that I have 2 kids. haha. Have a great sunday all.

Made this lo with the doodle pack. I printed it on colored cardstock and used them on my lo.

Just added to our etsy store here http://www.desyart.etsy.com/ this doodle pack for scrapbooking, cardmaking or other art projects. You will receive 3 digital files 8,5 x 11 inch. This way you only have to buy these once and can print them on any kind of paper you like. Or just print on white paper and color them as you like with paint, watercolors or markers.

Tip : paint on a 8,5 x 11 inch sheet with any kind of paint and run this through your printer for the doodles. Thanks for looking.

I did a photoshoot today with my little girl, Her friend and her friends sister. we had a lot of fun and some good laughs. Most of us know we bend in the weirdest positions to get a good shot. I sat my but in a bunch of stinging nettles, and it went right through my jeans. The kids laughed so hard. haha. i was not laughing. okay a little bit. Here are some pics of my little girl.

As most people know it is a combination of digital and analog scrapping. I love everything about scrapping, digital, analog and hybrid and whatever name they will ever add. i know i will love it.

I got the best news tonight on the phone at around 18.20 pm and I am the happiest person in the world. A lot of worries fell of my shoulder. Thank God for dreams comming true. (I will share soon, I promise).

School has finally started here again. The kids went back to school last monday. The weather has not been to wonderful, but I can't believe how fast these 6 weeks have gone by. Not much news here. Just been scrapping my time away. Wow I believe these line stickers in the lo above are at least 9 years old. I still have so many scrapbook supplies from the old days, I gues I will have to throw some on my lo's now and then to use it up.

On the market

Astrid and I stood with our drawings on the market yesterday in our town, there where 170 booths, and we where number 121. We had so much fun and a lot of people came visit us at our booth. It started at 4pm but we had to start at 3 pm to get it all ready before 4 pm. It ended at 11. Even the kids had fun passing out flyers for us. Here are some pics.

Summer Holiday

It has been a while since I blogged, I guess we got caught up in summer hiliday activities. My childrens daddy came to visit. The first 4 weeks the weather was horrible, then it turned a little, now as our summer vacation is ending this week. monday all the kids return to school. It is over with sleeping in and taking showers at 11 in the morning. but all good thing come to an end. Ofcourse I could not stay away from the computer or scraproom. As you can see below.

I got to meet Astrid through the internet by accident I came across her blog because she had mentioned my name. We mailed for a long time. But last tuesday she, her husband and cutest little boy came to visit us. We spent the whole day together and it was a blast. We had a lot of fun. It was so nice to finally meet her.

Astrid got me into this the vexel drawing, it was very fun to do, but man this was a lot of work and I am not sure if I ever will make another one. Making the hair was a disaster, but I am happy with it it nearly took me the whole day.

I call my kids often my little monsters, they are sooo cute when they sleep. haha. Today OPA (their grandfather took them out to play) they where so excited and I was too, because it gave me some time to scrap. made this lo with the BAZIX paper from BBG, used rhine stones from AVEC, most of the other supplies come from school supplies I bought in a store today. I just wish we had school supplies like they have today. Hey I bought them anyway, just to use in my scrapbooks.

Today I got another box from creamotion, who will be publishing my own paperline this fall. They sent me a box of cardstock they will be bringing out called BAZIX, wow wonderful colors. I did not paperscrap for quit a while because of work and playing on the computer. today i made these 3 lo's.

Astrid and i tried to make some vexel art. A combo of vector and who knows what :). well it was way too much work I tried with 3 different pic of my daughter. I made a lo with the drawings anyway, see below. The weather finally changed today. For the first time in weeks it was HOT. Thank god finally summer.

Astrid showed me some art with brushes and we made our own. I made this one with the brush (all the curly hair). Since she is a hairdresser. It was fun to do something different. We both threw us on another project something new again, but even more difficult. hope I can show it soon, if I ever get the hang of it, :). I tried for several hours tonight till 2.30 am and I had to throw it out. Oh well practice makes ART.

Busy Busy Busy

Always doing something. My friend helped me in my home, he put a wall up in the kitchen and hallway. There was a door we never used so the wall was kind of useless. Now with the door being gone on both sides it looks so much better.

I started painting my doors 5 of them (still not done). Also finished 2 more deadlines in the meantime with a new one that I got. And in between all of that I made another drawing for a lady, who sent me a lovely picture of her parents. I love this drawing I think it came out so good.

I made a gift for thena hope she likes it. It is the 4th of july today. My heart hurts a little bit. We dont celebrate this in Holland, but I miss celebrating this. I lived in the states for 7 years and have good memories of this holiday, so my heart in in AMERICA today. Hope you all have a great day today in the states. As for holland it is still raining a lot. With no better weather in sight just yet I hope it will change soon. Well thena this is your gift from me to you today.

Well summer vacation started for us. De kids are out of school for 6 weeks, and we only had rain today LOOOTTTSSSS of rain with a little bit of sunshine in between. It does not look like summer at all. So we had to stay in and play around a little. I still had this picture of my son on the beach drinking his coke, I wanted to take his picture but I guess he did not want to, but i did anyway.

Just finished a busy week. A deadline my birthday, destinee's birthday. A dinner party last night. It was crazy. Everyday bedtime was early in the morning and actually wanted to go to bed early tonight, and that ain't happening either. Made this drawing for Destinee's friend sister.

YAY TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY 1 more year to go and I will be over the hill. hahaha. The funny thing is that I dont mind at all. When I went to bed last night the kids decorated my bedroom door as a surprise (picture will be up later). My little girls birthaday is tomorrow so we will celebrate mine and hers together tomorrow. Today is for cleaning shopping and finishing a deadline. For now I wanted to share this new magazine I came across on hybrid scrapping totally love it. They will let you download the first issue for free so cool. I love Hybrid scrapping, I never knew I was one untill recently when Astrid asked me about it (haha).

Couch potato in real life

My little son a couch potato for sure. I know he sits still 500 miles a day. He just does not like to play outside too much. I am sure that will change when he gets older. I enjoy having him around. He is the kind of kid that tells me a 1000 times "mom I love you" "let me give you a hug" "oh you look nice today" he cracks me up. So because he is a couch potato I made this drawing of him, and you know what he said after he seen the drawing: "I told you to make it a basketball not a soccerball" okay son let me tell you this is my ART and I make it in whatever I want to. haha.

I had one of my LO's printed on canvas. I just picked it up. The canvas is 40 x 40 cm and I am so happy with the result. Here is a picture. The colors are the same as they appeared on my computer screen.

This Amazes me. I told Astrid by mail I did a drwaing of a buddha, and she said OOOOOOOHHHH NOOOOO, she and her husband had talked about what to draw, and her husband said why dont you do a buddha. (I knew nothing about that) this is only one of the few things that happened. Just a lot of similar thoughts so weird, but funny also. Tonight she did laundry and was on the computer late, I was late too guess what I was doing, yes laundry. Of all the things you can do we are doing the same things without even knowing. Well I have no explanation and maybe there is none. So this lo is for Astrid hahaha. But she still will have to do her Buddha drawing too.

I can't believe how many people visited my blog yesterday, that is so awesome, not even to talk about all the sweet messages an pm's (hmm that looks funny PMS, haha). Astrid and I just started up our business and ofcourse are hopeing for the best. I met her through her blog by leaving a message one day (I rarely leave messages, I just stalk) Most blogs I read have tons of messages left on there already and sometimes fell mine will get lost in the bunch, so why bother. well the fact is that I looooooove to get messages on mine. Yesterday I did, so awesome. Went to the docter's today finally (I always wait a long time) but I was having these headaches everyday, and last week in a store I had to grab something from the bottom shelf, I got back up and I lost my orrientation there for a second (which kind of worried me). So that made me even more scared of going to see the doc. Yesterday I got the nerve to call for an appointment. My appointment was for today 8.40 am. Kids off to school, me to the doc's office. The waiting room was already full, but here when you have an appointment you don't have to wait long. The doc examined me and told me not to worry, my headaches came from my muscles in my neck and shoulders. I told him from the incident in the store, but there was nothing to worry about. I have to see a fysiotherapist now and my headaches should be gone in no time. I can't tell you how releaved I am. So today is a HAPPY day headache or not hahaha.
